Meet the founder
KodaYuki began long before it became a shop.
Since I was very little, I was obsessed with dogs. I would research different dog breeds on Wikipedia and write down everything I learned. I even created “adoption cards” for imaginary dogs and played games with my brothers where I helped them get adopted.
Throughout my childhood, we had multiple dogs. But deep down, I always dreamed of growing up, getting my own dog, and building a life where I could do things my own way — with my dog by my side.
Eventually, I grew up — and I got Rodrigo. He comes almost everywhere with me… except when I travel. And that’s probably my biggest pain point.
The moment everything clicked
In October 2025, I booked a month-long yoga teacher training in Mexico. Before I left, I created my own cartoon design of Rodrigo and printed it on a hoodie, a beanie, and a t-shirt.
I wanted to take him with me — even though I couldn’t.
When I wore those pieces, people would ask about him. I loved telling his story. It felt like he was with me in spirit. My friends also loved the idea. They wanted their own embroidered pieces so they could carry their pets with them too.
So I decided to create KodaYuki — a space where other pet people could wear something meaningful. Something that feels like: “That’s so me.”, “This represents us.” , “This is my companion.”
My Truth
I’m very new to the world of online shops. I’m doing everything solo. And yes — it’s scary. But the thought of bringing joy to other pet lovers — through pieces that feel personal and spark conversations — is what keeps me going.
Right now, the catalogue is still small. But I’ll keep adding new designs and collections consistently. In the meantime, your feedback means everything to me. Which designs speak to you? , What would you love to see more of? , What pieces do you actually wear?
If you feel like sharing, I’d love to hear from you.
Sending love to you and your little companions 🤍
